Piano Technique Montreal and Centre Pierre Péladeau : stronger together

Piano Technique Montréal (PTM) is proud to announce a rewarding collaboration with the prestigious Centre Pierre Péladeau. This strategic partnership reflects a shared commitment to musical excellence, ensuring the precise tuning and meticulous maintenance of the Centre’s pianos for the benefit of both artists and audiences.

At the heart of this collaboration is the majestic 1991 New York–built Steinway D, an instrument that recently underwent several days of intensive regulation and voicing by PTM’s expert technicians. The challenge was considerable: to make this exceptional instrument even more responsive, to enhance its power so it would perfectly suit the specific acoustics of Salle Pierre-Mercure, and above all, to ensure remarkable consistency and predictability in both sound and touch. This level of refinement allows the full subtlety of the performer’s artistry to be truly appreciated.

Thanks to PTM’s attentive care, the Centre Pierre Péladeau’s Steinway D has regained its full splendor, offering pianists an expanded tonal palette and action of optimal precision.

In addition, Jean-Philippe and Nicolas live near the Centre and typically travel there on foot, ensuring maximum responsiveness and efficiency whenever intervention is required. This collaboration is a testament to the shared passion of PTM and the Centre Pierre Péladeau for music, and to their dedication to providing instruments of the highest quality. We look forward to seeing—and hearing—future performances enhanced by these finely maintained pianos.
